Helicobacter pylori Preparation
一般須知
General Information
1. 檢查前4小時需要空腹。
An empty stomach is required and thus refrain from eating or drinking 4 hours prior to the examination.
2. 接受檢查前2週，需要暫停服用強大舒緩胃痛藥。
Stop taking proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for at least 2 weeks prior to the examination.
3. 接受檢查前4週，需要暫停服用幽門螺旋桿菌抗生素。
Stop taking any antibiotics for at least 4 weeks prior to the examination.
4. 如果曾進行胃部手術人士並不適合做此測試。
Those who have undergone stomach surgery are not suitable for this examination.
檢查過程
Examination Process
1.首次吹氣採樣：按醫護人員指示，深呼吸後閉氣5-10秒，慢慢吹滿第一個集氣袋，作為基準樣本。
Baseline Breath Sample: Take a deep breath, hold for 5-10 seconds, then slowly blow into the first collection bag to fill it completely as the baseline sample.
2.服用試劑：喝下或吞服含碳13標記尿素的溶液／藥丸（一般約75ml水或藥丸），服藥後保持坐立或站立。
Urea Drink Administration: Drink the solution containing carbon-13 labeled urea (about 75ml of water) or swallow the capsule. Remain seated or standing during this step.
3. 等待反應：休息15-30分鐘，其間不可進食、飲水、劇烈活動或吸煙，讓細菌分解尿素產生標記二氧化碳。
Waiting Period: Rest quietly for 15-30 minutes. Do not eat, drink, smoke, or engage in strenuous activity to allow bacteria to break down urea into labeled carbon dioxide.
4. 第二次吹氣：到指定時間後，再次深呼吸，重複吹氣至第二個集氣袋，直至集氣袋脹滿以收集檢測樣本。
Second Breath Sample: Repeat the breathing process and slowly blow into the second collection bag to collect the test sample.
5. 樣本送檢：兩氣袋送實驗室分析碳13濃度差異，化驗報告一般約1-3天有結果。
Sample Analysis: Both collection bags are sent to the laboratory for carbon-13 concentration analysis. Results are typically available in 1-3 days.
