檢查前之準備
What to prepare before the examination

1. 接受檢查當日儘量穿著簡單易脫的衣服。
Dress in clothes that can be easily removed. 

2. 請攜同過往相關的醫療影像及報告，例如電腦掃描、磁力共振和超聲波。
Please bring any previous medical records or medical imaging reports, such as CT scan, MRI or ultrasound reports for reference.

3. 請攜同政府醫院轉介信作登記 (如適用)。
Please bring any referral letters from public hospitals to the center for registration.

4. 請在檢查前除下所有飾物包括戒指、耳環、項鍊、手錶、假牙或任何含金屬之物品。
Do not wear any jewelry, including rings, earrings, necklaces, watches, dentures, or any metal- containing objects.

5. 請告知醫護人員如您有以下任何一種情況：
Please notify our staff before examination if (either one of the followings):

a) 已經懷孕或懷疑懷孕。
You are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant.
b) 曾經對造影劑或藥物過敏、或曾對碘、某種食物過敏。
You have ever had a reaction to any contrast dye or any drugs, or if you are allergic to iodine or specific types of food.
c) 患有哮喘、腎病、心臟病、高血壓、糖尿病、甲狀腺病。
You have ever had history of asthma, renal insufficiency/renal masses/single kidney, hypertension, diabetes, thyroid diseases.

6. 請於禁食期間繼續服食日常藥物，並告知醫護人員日常藥物的名稱、劑量、及服用頻率。
Please continue to take all your prescribed medications. Bring a list of your medications including the name of the medication, the dose, and the dose frequency.

檢查前準備 (飲食上)

🔹上腹部檢查 For Upper Abdomen：

檢查前4小時不可進食
Do not eat 4 hours prior to the ultrasound

🔹膽囊超聲波檢查 For gallbladder：

檢查前6小時開始禁止飲食
Do not eat 6 hours prior to the ultrasound

🔹盆腔、前列腺及膀胱超聲波檢查 ( 經直腸或陰道 ) For Pelvis, Prostates, Bladder ( transrectal or transvaginal )：

請於檢查前排清小便
Empty your bladder before the ultrasound

🔹盆腔、前列腺及膀胱超聲波檢查 (經腹部)、子宮及卵巢超聲波檢查、 全腹部檢查 For Pelvis, Prostates, Bladder (via abdomen), Uterus and Ovaries, Whole Abdomen：

需要在檢查前根據醫生指示，飲用充足水份，以確保膀胱在檢查期間充滿尿液，待檢查完畢才如廁排走水份。
A full bladder is required, so please follow your doctor’s instructions to consume exactly how much water you need to drink. Do not urinate until the test is finished.

檢查過程     
Examination Process

檢查時間一般為時 15 至 30 分鐘或更長時間，視乎掃描位置而定。
檢查期間放射技師會將超聲波凝膠塗在需要造影的部位上，然後用超聲波探頭在該部位上移動。病人或需忍氣數秒或轉身，令造影更準確。

The examination time usually takes at least 15 – 30 minutes, depending on the body region being examined. During the examination, the radiographer will special lubricating gel on the region under examination and push the transducer against the area. Patients may need to hold their breath for several seconds or turn around for accuracy.
